Like my friends, I want to get through high school with straight As and a killer GPA, ensuring I get into one of the best computer science programs. However, the only thing that my bickering parents agree on is that I should go to their in-state alma mater. Will I ever convince them to let me attend an Ivy League university?

I love business as much as I love tennis, hoping to be a corporate executive with a degree from a top business school. My parents plan for me to stay home and run their Latinx store with my brother. Is accepting the family legacy worth the loss of my dreams?

The study club has been a lifesaver after everything that has happened. Our strengths balance out each other’s weaknesses, making us a successful team. But can my friends help silence the people who won’t let go of my past failures?
